I am now home, and sort of back to normal, for values of normal that include a certain amount of convalescing.

Rob is an absolute hero and no-one will ever be able to truly appreciate the support and care he gave me, during labour and afterwards. There is no prize great enough to reward him for all he has done, unless the fact that he's allowed to be Linnea's Daddy is a prize - and judging by his joy at changing her nappy at 3:30 am today, it is.

We are blissfully happy, all three.

Welcome home :)

Andy was 40 not long after we had Kate & I never bought him a big present as was busy with other things. He told me Kate was present enough & not to buy anything anyway :)

glad to hear you're all home and well, and I think I missed saying congratulations as I was away, so I'll say it now - congratulations!

Glad you're home, and glad you're happy!

Spend as much time as you can in bed. Have you got lavender oil for the bath? It's marvellous, really helps with the healing process and as an added bonus smells nice.

I get the impression from [livejournal.com profile] oldbloke that becoming a Daddy is a stupendous prize.

Welcome home! And hello Linnea, not Niamh! *blush*.

Next task: upsdate the icon!

I'm delighted you're all back safe and sound. The labour sounded horrendous. Your last paragraph definitely made the upper lip wobble. I look forward to all the minutae on having a brand, shiny new Linnea about the house.

No prize greater ...

No trust greater, either. You two will be great parents. It won't all be joy and laughter all the way, but you will be there for each other and you will have your love to keep you strong and coping. Long may the honeymoon (there really ought to be a proper word for when it's bonding time with a new babe) last. And may your troubles all be little ones! ;-)

Hooray! I'm so happy for all of you.

(Still ambling along at Week 26 here, but expanding rapidly and starting to be brought up short by the stronger kicks... Can't wait. Can't wait. Baby baby baby baby baby!)
