The new routine

Rob now gets a train at about 6:45am, I think. He brings me my orange juice and iron supplement before he goes, so I have the blood sugar to get out of bed. I get up when Emer wakes, and Rob phones us at 08:30 to say good morning.
We have a cooked lunch from the meals Rob has prepped ahead of time and frozen in "disposable" (dishwasher-able) trays. He has a cooked breakfast AND a cooked lunch from Google's finest chefs, but he says he'll probably cut down how often he has a cooked breakfast soon. Also, his lasagne is better than Google's, which doesn't surprise me - his lasagne is very nice.
He gets home about 7pm ish - we've had days when it was shortly after 6pm and one day when it was shortly after 8pm. Then we all eat a smaller cooked tea-type meal together, but this has to change, as it's too late for the children and me. And the children go to bed starting at about 9pm, which means they get to see a fair bit of him. Bedtimes are still a bit wobbly and fraught but we will get the hang of it.
I had assumed Rob would be sleeping on the train but apparently he's not always tired enough to need to, so he sometimes reads or does laptop stuff or similar. Because our local station is before the main town centre station, he always gets a seat.
