My neck and shoulders are defaulting to rigid. This is not compatible with two small children. I really, really need a neck-rub but Rob can't tell which bits are muscle and anyway his hands get tired very, very fast. I've been trying to do my own but that hurts too.

Ho hum.

Also, I really, really need to get Emer into her own bed; gradually Rob's been getting back to the idea that it's ok to walk her to sleep in the buggy and that makes my life really, really hard. If she had her own bed at least I wouldn't end up quite so bruised. I hate being punched awake by little baby fists on my nose and eyelids, though I do concede that it's effective.

In better news, an undrugged Rob is much easier to wake up, whether in the middle of the night or first thing in the morning, though he still can't hear a baby crying in his sleep.

At least, so I conclude from two incidents on the walk home today:

One man came up behind us and walked through our clasped hands, knocking Linnea over, and swore almost under his breath at her for getting in his way.

Another man swore quite audibly at her for being on the footpath where he was trying to get home in a hurry. On his bike.

Grr.

I've lost my copy of The No-Cry Sleep Solution.

I also have books belonging to other people, I am sure. So if I owe you a book, or money, or something else, please comment here and I'll find it and package it and send it. Not necessarily IMMEDIATELY, but soon.
