Babylon 5, pilot, S1E1. Delicious to see characters being introduced and characterised. S1E2 Soul Hunter I am going to be bothered by the whole "upper vena cava" thing for a while. E3 Born to the Purple Apparently this had both a young Sinead O'Connor and an old Meatloaf. The credits said otherwise but I know what I saw. E4 Infection My god no wonder we're rubbish at pandemics. Even in the future doctors won't use gloves for known biohazards if a friend hands them over. E5 Parliament of Dreams I want that song. I want that song. Is it available? I want to think about thinking about buying flowers after my nap. E6 Mind War It was fine. I wasn't convinced by some bits. E7 The War Prayer I must read the Twain short story/essay/prose poem. I've downloaded it from Gutenberg but not read it yet.

Owl House, S1 E11&12 I started watching this ages ago with Eldest and we stopped, but recently Youngest and I finished Hilda and after they'd shown me Nimona they wanted to share The Owl House. I love it. E13 schooooooool and jk Rowling shade I laughed. *E14 *Cute

Hilda This is a rewatch with Youngest. We love this series and we're watching it for the comfort. S1E1, E2

Films/Movies

Wild Robot We saw this in the cinema and really enjoyed it. It was charming, though not quite revolutionary enough for my tastes. There were a lot of great jokes-for-the-grownups in it and no finicky pickiness about geology or zoology or anything, it followed its own internal logic and just ignored the bits that didn't fit and as a result produced a real *story *with no age-range. Some of it is much too upsetting for a very sensitive child of the type I have sometimes had. But there's a lovely dome shaped house and and a lot of gorgeous art.

And a goose that looks like Bill Nighy.

Phantom of the Opera Again at the cinema, and I enjoyed it - there were songs I didn't know from whatever soundtrack album we have, which was nice, and seeing how it was staged was extremely satisfying.

On the list for later: Death on the Nile, 1978, with Maggie Smith -- it's on ITVX.
